News - Fall 2007What an exciting summer we’ve had! Our Harry Potter Party was a wonderful success, and by far my favorite program ever put on. Click here to see pictures from the event. What made it so special was all the help provided by our teen volunteers. They are so talented and offered so much from artistic and culinary abilities to an impressive array of ideas. In fact, I was so taken with our talented youth that I have decided to start a Teen Advisory Board. TAB will meet once a month to help plan YA activities as well as help plan kids’ crafts and parties. Awesome! We can’t say goodbye to Summer without congratulating all of our fabulous summer readers. 145 kids and teens read for a total of 1,840 hours! It’s so great to have a library full of readers who come in and talk with you about favorite books. That is my favorite part of the day. Now it is coming on time for scarecrows, Book Clubs, Storytimes, and the Book Fair. The trees around the library are already starting to change colors. Make sure you come and see them, the leaves are always stunning on the library trees—reds and greens mixed in. It is such a great time of year. Make sure you enjoy every second.
