A Book Box is a library subscription box that you pick up monthly at Richards Memorial Library. Inside are two books, plus treats and activities to enjoy while reading the books. Each box also includes a comment card, so you can give feedback about what you liked – or didn’t. When you’re done, return the books but keep everything else! Best of all, this program is free.
Designed for young people in grades 3-5 (or equivalent ages).
Subscriptions are available January through March 2022.
A limited number of subscriptions are available. If all spots are full, you will be placed on a waitlist.
You may cancel your subscription any time by contacting the library in person, by phone (508-754-0793) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We’ll create themed book boxes each month, complete with two books plus activities and surprises around the theme.
Book boxes will usually be ready the second week of each month. We will contact you by email when your book box is ready to be picked up (you will have one week to pick up your box from the library).
Book box selections will be checked out to you for six weeks. When you’re done, return the book – the activities are yours to keep!
These titles are now available. More to come. Please place a hold, or call, or email or fill out the Google Form to request any of them. They are currently being processed but will be available for pick-up on Thursday as long as you reserve them before 3pm on Wednesday
The books were selected from among hundreds of submissions to this annual recognition of significant achievements in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, middle grade/young adult literature, and picture books/early readers published by the talented writers among us in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Fiction, graphic novels and more, with a peppering of wit and a healthy serving of humor
